Dr. Kayla Charleston
Hi! I’m Kayla, Founder and Principal at The Inquiry Institute.
As a lifelong learner, I have over 15 years of writing, research, teaching and training experience spanning from academia to government and public health agencies. I hold an undergraduate degree in English, which taught me the value of using stories to make meaning of the world. I also earned a Ph.D. in Sociology and began to consider research as another instrument of storytelling. As a trained Social Scientist, I understand the complexities of institutions, systems, and structures.
My Approach
I strive to be collaborative and inclusive. You are the experts of your story. My role is to provide you with the data-led insights and knowledge of complex systems to help you tell it. I believe developing your narrative’s shared language will enable you to align goals and metrics with your consciously chosen purpose or path.
